Job Overview BMW of the Hudson Valley, located in Poughkeepsie, NY, has an immediate opportunity for a skilled, experienced body repair technician. We are a BMW Certified Collision Center but work on all makes and models. Minimum of 5 years hands on experience required. BMW or ICAR certifications a big plus but will train with BMW and ICAR classes. Flat rate pay plan with guarantee. Excellent benefits, working atmosphere and opportunity. Earning potential commensurate with skill level, quality of work and productivity. Earning potential $85,000-$100,00 plus. Responsibilities Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and sheet metal work using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment such as MIG welding and soldering. Repair or replace auto glass components safely and efficiently while maintaining vehicle integrity. Utilize fabrication skills to modify or create parts using sheet metal, welding, and assembly techniques. Inspect vehicles thoroughly to identify damages, and ensure quality standards are met. Maintain detailed documentation of repair processes, parts used, and work performed for accurate auto estimating. Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive background in auto body repair is highly preferred. Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, fabrication, and the use of various hand tools and power tools. Experience working with sheet metal, auto glass replacement, and auto estimating software. Ability to lift heavy objects safely during heavy lifting tasks associated with body repairs.
