Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Body Shop Estimator to join our team. In this vital role, you will evaluate vehicle damage, prepare accurate repair estimates, and coordinate repairs efficiently. Your expertise will help ensure our customers receive transparent, fair service while maintaining high standards of automotive repair quality. Duties Assess vehicle damage thoroughly by inspecting all affected areas, including body, frame, and mechanical components. Prepare detailed repair estimates using industry-standard estimating software, ensuring accuracy and transparency. Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair procedures, costs, and timelines to foster trust and satisfaction. Collaborate with technicians, parts departments, and insurance adjusters to facilitate smooth repair processes. Upsell additional services such as vehicle maintenance or repairs when appropriate, enhancing customer value. Maintain detailed documentation of all estimates, repairs, and customer interactions for record-keeping and quality control. Ensure all work complies with safety standards, manufacturer specifications, and insurance requirements. Skills Proven dealership experience with a strong understanding of auto service management and automotive diagnostics. Extensive mechanical knowledge covering vehicle maintenance, transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, suspension systems, tires, shocks & struts, air brakes, alignments, diesel engine repair, and automotive repair procedures. Experience in auto estimating software and service writing to accurately document repairs. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust. Familiarity with auto body repair processes and mechanical troubleshooting techniques. Strong organizational skills with cash handling experience preferred for managing invoices or payments related to estimates. Pay:
$50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
