Auto Body Painter Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing vehicles for paint, mixing colors, and applying paint using spray guns and other tools to restore or enhance the appearance of vehicles. This role requires precision, knowledge of paint processes, and a commitment to producing high-quality finishes.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking, and priming. Mix paint to match color specifications using computerized systems or manual techniques. Apply paint coats using spray guns in a spray booth. Perform blending and refinishing to ensure a seamless match with existing paint. Inspect finished paint work for quality and consistency. Maintain tools, equipment, and spray booth cleanliness. Follow all safety procedures and environmental regulations. Collaborate with body technicians and estimators to ensure timely job completion.

Requirements:

Proven experience as an auto body painter or in a similar role. Familiarity with automotive paint systems (e.g., PPG, BASF, Sherwin-Williams). Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of safety practices and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:
