Overview Join our dynamic automotive team as a Body Shop Estimator and become a vital part of delivering exceptional collision repair services! In this energetic role, you will be the first point of contact for customers seeking vehicle repairs, providing expert assessments and accurate estimates to ensure smooth and efficient repair processes. Your keen eye for detail, mechanical knowledge, and customer service skills will drive customer satisfaction and help our shop operate seamlessly. Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess the extent of collision or repair needs. Prepare detailed, accurate auto estimates using computer-aided vehicle damage estimating software. Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair procedures, costs, and timelines to ensure transparency and trust. Collaborate with technicians, mechanics, and parts departments to coordinate repairs and ensure timely completion. Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, or transmission repairs when appropriate. Maintain detailed records of all estimates, repair orders, and customer interactions for accountability and follow-up. Assist in managing insurance claims processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Qualifications Proven experience in auto service management, auto estimating, or collision repair is highly preferred. Prior dealership or service technician experience is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Proficiency in computer-aided vehicle damage estimating software and basic computer skills. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and manage sales effectively. Knowledge of automotive repair specialties such as auto body repair, suspension work, tire service, and transmission repairs enhances your candidacy.
