Job Description

BODYMAN Frazer, LTD - 3.3 Houston, TX Job Details Full-time $18 - $36 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid holidays Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Career development plan 401(k) matching Flexible schedule Qualifications Defect detection (quality control) Sanding tools Visual inspection for vehicle damage Automotive dent repair Grinding tools Quality issues Automotive structural repair Full Job Description Do you run your hand across a panel and feel the imperfection no one else noticed? Does it bother you to send work down the line before it's right — and satisfy you to make it right? Are you the kind of person who takes pride in a repair so clean the paint just lays down perfectly over it? Do you want your craft to matter — to know the vehicle you prepped is headed out to help save someone's life? Are you looking for a steady shop, an early start, and a team that respects skilled, hands-on work? If this sounds like you, then we need to talk… Frazer, a leading builder of emergency medical vehicles and mobile healthcare units, is looking for a Bodyman to join our Paint shop. In this role you repair, restore, and prep aluminum vehicle bodies so every unit is flawless before it reaches paint and final assembly — work that directly shapes the quality, durability, and safety of vehicles serving communities across the country. What Does a Week in the Life of the Bodyman Look Like? Inspects bodies, panels, and compartments, hunting down dents, dings, and surface flaws before they reach paint. Works aluminum panels back to spec — straightening, shaping, and restoring structural integrity. Mixes, applies, and shapes body filler, then grinds and feather-edges to a clean, paint-ready surface. Cleans, masks, and primes repaired areas so painters get a flawless canvas every time. Catches and corrects defects others would let slide, holding the line on Frazer quality. Partners with painters, assemblers, and production to keep vehicles moving on schedule. Keeps the bay clean, the tools sharp, and the PPE on — every shift. Documents repairs and flags recurring issues so the shop keeps getting better.
Required Education and Experience:
2+ years of automotive body repair experience. Solid knowledge of body filler application and finishing techniques. A proven eye for surface imperfections and the skill to correct them. Hands-on proficiency with sanders, grinders, and body repair tools. Comfortable reading work instructions and hitting production requirements.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Experience working aluminum body panels. Collision repair certification. Background in emergency vehicle, truck body, or specialty vehicle manufacturing. Skills (to Pay the Bills) Here's a list of a few competencies that the Bodyman at Frazer should have… You've got a craftsman's eye — you can feel a flaw in a panel before you can see it, and you won't let it pass. You take real pride in your work, and you'd rather do it right once than do it twice. You're steady and dependable — your output looks the same on a Friday as it does on a Monday. You know your tools cold, from grinders to filler, and you keep them dialed in. You work clean and safe, and you look out for the people working next to you. You play well with the painters and assemblers around you, because the vehicle is only as good as the whole team's work. Why Frazer? Frazer is a fast-growing company pushing the boundaries of what's possible in mobile healthcare. You'll join a team of driven, diverse people who take their work seriously and each other personally. We rely on our core values, invest in our people's growth, and give everyone room to unleash their potential. What's in it for you: A weekly paycheck — you get paid every Friday. Company shutdown from Christmas through New Year's, plus 10 paid holidays and PTO that starts accruing from day one. On-site micromarket, flexible schedules, and a real work-life balance. Free financial wellness classes plus professional development and skills training. 401k with company match, health, dental, and disability coverage. A culture built on honesty, accountability, and continuous improvement — not politics. Compensation $18 - $36/hour Commensurate with education, certifications, and experience. Schedule & Location Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM Onsite — 7227 Rampart St., Houston, TX 77081 No travel required. Ready to Apply?
