Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Auto Body Technician/Painter is responsible for repairing and refinishing company vehicles and heavy equipment used in excavation, heavy civil, and demolition operations. This role ensures trucks, equipment, and fleet vehicles are restored to safe, functional, and professional condition while maintaining high-quality paint finishes and durability in demanding job site environments.Key Responsibilities:
Inspect and assess damage to fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, and machinery Perform body repairs including dent removal, panel repair/replacement, grinding, and sanding Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, masking, blasting, and priming Mix and apply industrial and automotive coatings to match company standards Apply durable finishes designed for harsh job site conditions Operate spray guns, sanders, grinders, and other body shop equipment Perform finishing work including buffing, polishing, and detailing Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and company standards Maintain paint booth, tools, and work area in clean and safe condition Follow all safety protocols related to hazardous materials, PPE, and ventilation systemsQualifications:
2+ years of experience in auto body repair and/or industrial painting Experience working on heavy equipment, dump trucks, or construction fleet preferred Knowledge of surface prep, coatings, and corrosion protection methods Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and shop safety practices Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Valid driver's license requiredPreferred Qualifications:
