Auto Body Technician

Duties Perform comprehensive auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and alignment using hand tools and power tools. Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and sheet metal fabrication skills to repair or replace damaged vehicle parts. Maintain detailed repair estimates and communicate effectively with customers regarding repair progress and vehicle condition. Assist in auto restoration projects by fabricating custom parts and performing mechanical repairs as needed. Conduct vehicle maintenance checks, including mechanical inspections and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance. Experience Proven dealership experience or extensive background in auto body repair is highly preferred. Hands-on experience with MIG welding, welding techniques, sheet metal work, and fabrication processes. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems, including auto painting, auto glass installation, and vehicle assembly. Familiarity with auto estimating software and customer service practices is advantageous. Ability to operate various hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools safely and efficiently. Experience with auto restoration projects or classic vehicle repairs is a plus. Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
