Auto Body Helper

In this energetic role, you will assist skilled technicians with a variety of tasks that support auto body repair, restoration, and maintenance. Duties Assist auto body technicians with vehicle repairs, including sanding, masking, and prepping surfaces for painting or refinishing Support the handling and organization of sheet metal, auto glass, and other materials needed for repairs Use hand tools and power tools to aid in minor fabrication, assembly, or disassembly of vehicle parts Help with heavy lifting tasks to move vehicles or parts safely around the shop Prepare vehicles for painting by masking areas and applying primer or other preparatory coatings Maintain a clean and organized work environment by sweeping, cleaning tools, and disposing of waste properly Support vehicle detailing, including cleaning, polishing, and minor cosmetic touch-ups to ensure quality results Requirements Previous dealership or auto body shop experience is highly preferred Familiarity with MIG welding, soldering, and fabrication techniques is a plus Basic mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair and vehicle maintenance Experience using hand tools, power tools, and auto body equipment such as sanders or spray guns Knowledge of auto glass installation and auto painting processes is desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding conditions Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship Good communication skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in auto body repair while contributing to high-quality vehicle restorations.
