Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Dealer Body Shop Technician to join our dynamic automotive repair team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive auto body repairs, including collision damage restoration, sheet metal work, and vehicle refinishing. Your expertise will ensure that every vehicle is restored to the highest standards of quality, safety, and appearance. This position offers an exciting opportunity for seasoned technicians eager to apply their extensive knowledge of auto body repair in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Your hands-on skills and mechanical insight will directly contribute to delivering exceptional service and driving customer satisfaction. Duties Perform detailed auto body repairs including dent removal, frame straightening, and collision damage restoration using advanced techniques such as MIG welding, soldering, and sheet metal fabrication. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized auto body equipment to repair or replace damaged panels, bumpers, doors, and other vehicle components. Conduct auto painting tasks including sanding, priming, color matching, and airless paint spraying to achieve a flawless finish. Repair or replace auto glass and perform auto glass installation with precision to ensure safety standards are met. Assist with auto restoration projects by restoring vintage or damaged vehicles through mechanical repairs, auto body work, and detailing. Maintain detailed documentation of repairs performed using auto estimating software; communicate effectively with customers regarding repair progress and expectations. Lift heavy vehicle parts safely while adhering to proper safety protocols; ensure the workspace remains organized and hazard-free. Qualifications Proven dealership or professional auto body shop experience with a strong background in auto collision repair and refinishing. Proficiency in MIG welding, sheet metal fabrication, soldering, and the use of various hand tools and power tools. Solid mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including vehicle maintenance, auto painting, auto glass installation, and automotive repair techniques. Experience with auto estimating software is preferred; excellent customer service skills are essential for clear communication with clients. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; familiarity with auto restoration processes is a plus. Strong understanding of safety procedures related to welding, painting, and handling hazardous materials. Automotive mechanic experience or additional certifications in collision repair or auto body technology will be considered advantageous. Join our team where your expertise makes a difference! $72,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
