Ideal candidate will have experience in body shop repair along with some welding. Must be able to provide own basic tools.

Paid Weekly, Direct Deposit, Affordable Health Care, Full-Time, Opportunities for career growth Position Summary We are seeking a skilled, dependable, and safety-conscious Body Shop Technician to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will perform commercial truck body repairs, fabrication, equipment installations, and paint preparation services for fleet and commercial vehicles. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, takes pride in quality workmanship, and thrives in a fast-paced shop environment where teamwork and efficiency are essential. Key Responsibilities
  • Repair, modify, and restore commercial truck bodies and fleet vehicles
  • Perform collision repairs, structural repairs, panel replacements, and body modifications
  • Prepare truck bodies and vehicles for painting, refinishing, and final assembly
  • Install and repair liftgates, van bodies, doors, shelving systems, and related equipment
  • Perform welding, grinding, sanding, fiberglass, Bondo, and fabrication work as required
  • Replace damaged parts and components to manufacturer and company standards
  • Safely operate power tools, hand tools, and shop equipment
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards
  • Collaborate with technicians, painters, and supervisors to complete projects on time and within specifications
  • Work efficiently while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail Required Qualifications
  • Experience using power tools, hand tools, and shop equipment
  • Must provide own basic tools (air tools and air supply provided)
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting abilities
  • Experience with fiberglass repair, Bondo application, and parts replacement
  • Some welding experience required
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding work
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a positive attitude Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a body shop, fabrication, welding, automotive repair, or truck repair environment
  • Experience working with commercial trucks, fleet vehicles, or specialty equipment
  • Welding and metal fabrication experience
  • Auto body paint preparation and refinishing experience
  • Knowledge of liftgate, truck equipment, or accessory installation
