Auto Body Technician

In this role, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition, ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about automotive repair and auto restoration. Duties Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and collision damage restoration using hand tools and power tools. Conduct welding tasks such as MIG welding, soldering, and sheet metal fabrication to repair or replace damaged vehicle parts. Use auto painting techniques including airless paint spraying to achieve a flawless finish that matches the vehicle's original color. Replace and install auto glass with precision, ensuring proper fitment and safety standards. Utilize auto estimating software to assess damages and determine repair costs accurately. Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks, including mechanical repairs, auto restoration projects, and general automotive repair duties. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols during heavy lifting and tool operation. Qualifications Proven dealership experience or background in auto body repair is highly preferred. Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, sheet metal work, and fabrication techniques. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and vehicle maintenance processes. Experience with auto painting, auto glass installation, and auto estimating software is advantageous. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto body repair tools. Knowledge of auto restoration projects, including detailing and assembly work. Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks consistently.
