Job Description
Repair Technician Job Description The Repair Technician repairs motorcycle body components and supports the full refinishing process from preparation through final paint. This role focuses on advanced repair, surface prep, and refinishing of painted motorcycle parts using sanding, masking, and painting techniques while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work area. Responsibilities Repair motorcycle body parts, including damaged or worn components, according to established standards and specifications. Perform advanced repair, preparation, and refinishing of painted motorcycle components. Use sanding techniques to prepare surfaces for primer and paint application. Mask parts accurately to protect surfaces during the painting and refinishing process. Apply paint and refinishing materials to motorcycle body parts to achieve a consistent, high-quality finish. Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete repair and assembly tasks. Assemble repaired or refinished parts as needed to ensure proper fit and finish. Follow production processes and learn multiple stages within the production department to support workflow. Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and finish, making adjustments as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper storage and care of tools and equipment. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working with tools, equipment, and finishing materials. Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues or delays that may affect production timelines. Essential Skills Hands-on repair experience in auto body or motorcycle body work. Proficiency using hand tools for repair and assembly tasks. Experience using power tools safely and effectively in a repair or mechanical environment. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand how parts fit and function together. Ability to perform sanding, masking, and basic painting tasks for refinishing components. Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality repairs and finishes. Ability to keep work areas clean, organized, and safe. Willingness to learn and perform multiple stages within a production environment. Reliability and consistency in following established processes and procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous motorcycle body repair experience is a strong plus. Prior experience in an auto body shop or similar repair environment. Comfort working in a production setting with defined workflows and timelines. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions for repair and refinishing procedures. Work Environment This is a first-shift, full-time role, working Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with occasional but limited overtime. The work takes place in a shop and production environment focused on motorcycle body repair and refinishing. You regularly use hand tools, power tools, sanding equipment, masking materials, and painting equipment while working at benches and workstations. The facility emphasizes a clean, organized, and safe workspace, and you are expected to maintain a neat and professional appearance suitable for a hands-on shop setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franksville, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
