Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) Technician to join our automotive restoration and repair team. In this role, you will specialize in restoring vehicles by removing minor dents and dings without the need for repainting, using advanced PDR techniques. Your expertise will help clients maintain the integrity and appearance of their vehicles efficiently and professionally. This position offers an exciting opportunity for skilled technicians passionate about automotive repair, auto body work, and vehicle aesthetics to showcase their talents in a fast-paced, energetic environment. Responsibilities Utilize specialized tools and techniques to carefully massage and reshape vehicle panels, eliminating dents without damaging the paintwork Assess vehicle damage to determine the most effective PDR approach, ensuring quality results that meet customer expectations Prepare vehicles by removing trim, moldings, or other components as needed for optimal access to dented areas Perform minor repairs involving sheet metal fabrication, soldering, or welding when necessary to support dent removal processes Conduct thorough inspections of repaired areas to ensure smooth surface finishes and proper alignment Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols with power tools, hand tools, and auto body repair equipment Collaborate with team members on vehicle maintenance tasks such as auto glass replacement or auto painting when required Skills Proven experience in dealership environments or automotive repair shops with a strong background in auto body repair and auto restoration Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, airless paint spraying, welding (including MIG welding), soldering, and fabrication techniques Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems, sheet metal work, auto glass installation, and auto painting processes Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while handling vehicle panels or parts during repairs Familiarity with auto estimating software and customer service principles to communicate effectively with clients Knowledge of automotive repair procedures including auto estimating, detailing, auto painting, and auto body finishing techniques Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance practices and automotive repair standards to ensure high-quality results Join our team if you're passionate about automotive excellence!
