Allen Park, Michigan, United States Talascend is currently seeking an Electrical Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Allen Park, Michigan. Overview The Electrical Technician II will build, rework, test, repair, and install wiring harnesses on vehicles and the bench, following detailed instructions from blueprints and schematics. The role involves performing quality checks and collaborating with team members and customers on various projects. Responsibilities Assemble, install, perform functional and safety tests, and reverse engineer wiring using hand tools and proper assembly techniques by following work instructions.
Install lights, brackets, and electrical hardware on test boxes, automotive components, and vehicles according to specifications.
Test wiring and components for correct operation using schematics and diagnostic equipment.
Perform wiring reworks and repairs on bench and vehicle, crimp and solder, de-pin terminal, create basic schematics, and reverse engineer harnesses.
Maintain shop equipment by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
Participate in daily shop organization and clean-up activities. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 4 years of electrical work experience. Preferred Qualifications Certificate in Automotive Electrical Technology or related field.
Valid driver's license.
Experience installing components on circuit boards.
