Job Description:

We are seeking an Experienced Chimney Technician and Estimator to join our team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality chimney inspections, cleanings, and repairs, as well as diagnosing issues and providing accurate, professional estimates to our residential and commercial clients. The ideal candidate is highly knowledgeable about fireplace and chimney systems, possesses excellent communication skills, and has a proven track record of honesty and professionalism in sales/estimating.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspections & Diagnosis:

Conduct thorough Level 1, 2, and 3 chimney inspections.

Estimating & Sales:

Accurately diagnose chimney, fireplace, and masonry issues. Educate customers on safety concerns and provide detailed estimates for necessary repairs.

Technician Duties:

Perform chimney sweepings, crown repairs, tuckpointing, flashing repairs, and the installation of liners, chase covers, and chimney caps.

Customer Service:

Maintain a clean work environment (using drop cloths and vacuums to ensure zero mess in clients' homes) and deliver exceptional customer service.

Documentation:

Complete digital work orders, take high-quality before-and-after photos, and manage inventory on the service truck.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Experience:

Minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience in chimney sweeping, repair, and relining. •

Skills:

Basic masonry, carpentry, or roofing skills are a major plus. •

Physical Demands:

Must be comfortable working at heights, climbing tall ladders, and walking on roofs. Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. •

Sales/Communication:

Proven ability to explain technical issues to homeowners in a clear, non-aggressive, and educational manner. •

License:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required to drive company vehicle). •

Background Check:

Must be able to pass a standard background check and drug screening.
