Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mobile Installation Technician to join our growing team. This position focuses on the installation, service, and troubleshooting of mobile electronics and communications equipment in public safety, commercial, and fleet vehicles throughout West Tennessee. Position Overview Seeking a mobile installer that can install electronics into vehicles — a background in GPS systems, stereos, two-way radios, emergency lighting, camera systems, sirens, and other 12V electronics is highly preferred. The Install Technician will assist with the customer installation of radio and wireless communications systems in customer vehicles and on-site locations. Successful candidates will be motivated, customer-service oriented, dependable, and professional in appearance and communication. Responsibilities Install mobile radios, antennas, GPS systems, routers, modems, emergency lighting, sirens, cameras, and other electronic equipment in vehicles Perform wiring, cable routing, power distribution, and equipment mounting Remove and reinstall vehicle interiors, consoles, headliners, and trim panels without damage Read and interpret wiring diagrams, installation instructions, and technical documents Troubleshoot electrical and communication system issues Maintain clean and organized installation practices Complete installations according to company quality and safety standards Work independently and as part of a team in both shop and field environments Provide professional interaction with customers and end users Assist with shop organization, inventory, and equipment preparation as needed Qualifications Experience with 12V vehicle electrical systems required Experience with mobile electronics installation preferred Knowledge of two-way radio systems, emergency vehicle equipment, or fleet electronics is a plus Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to lift equipment and work in physically demanding environments Good communication and organizational skills Clean and professional appearance Requirements Candidate must pass a background check and drug screening Valid driver's license with clean driving record required Ability to travel throughout Jackson and West Tennessee as needed Occasional overtime or after-hours work may be required depending on project schedules What We Provide Company vehicle for work-related travel Tools and installation equipment Training opportunities and career growth Full-time stable work environment Service area includes Jackson and surrounding West Tennessee areas.
