Suburban Ford of Romeo is seeking an experienced Windshield / Auto Glass Technician to join our growing team. Install windshields and automotive glass in our shop and through a mobile service unit Repair rock chips and other minor glass damage Perform automotive window tint installations, including side windows, rear glass, and windshields (where permitted) Prepare glass surfaces by thoroughly cleaning and removing contaminants prior to glass or tint installation Remove and replace existing glass or window tint when required Cut, shape, and apply window tint film using proper tools and techniques to ensure a high-quality, bubble-free finish Calibrate advanced vehicle electronics and safety systems, including ADAS, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, and similar technologies Ensure all glass and tint work meets dealership quality standards and state/local regulations Inspect completed work to ensure proper fit, adhesion, and appearance Process payments from mobile service customers (if applicable) Interact professionally with customers to explain services, care instructions, and answer questions Maintain a professional appearance, clean work area, and positive attitude Deliver World Class customer service to customers and vendors at all timesWhat We're Looking For:
2+ year of automotive glass installation experience 2+ year of automotive window tinting experience (certification or formal training a plus) Valid driver's license with the ability to pass an MVR check Proficiency working with multiple types of automotive glass Strong knowledge of tools, equipment, and techniques used in glass repair and replacement Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and specifications Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and work ethic Must be 18 years of age or older Comfortable with the physical demands of the jobPhysical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to maneuver safely around vehicles during installations Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, twisting, grasping, pulling, and turning Ability to work for extended periods of time Willingness to work in hot and cold weather conditions as needed Apply today and become part of a dealership committed to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
