Auto Glass Technician

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Auto Glass Technician to join our dynamic automotive service team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing auto glass with precision and care, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. You will work directly with customers and vehicle technicians to deliver exceptional service, utilizing your mechanical skills and automotive knowledge. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise in auto glass installation while contributing to vehicle safety and customer satisfaction. Duties Remove damaged or broken auto glass safely using hand tools and power tools, ensuring no further damage to the vehicle. Install new auto glass accurately, aligning it properly with vehicle frames and ensuring a secure fit. Conduct windshield calibration procedures for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) to ensure proper sensor functionality after replacement. Apply window tinting film as requested, enhancing vehicle aesthetics and privacy while maintaining quality standards. Perform vehicle inspections related to auto body repair, glass installation, and general maintenance to identify additional repair needs. Use auto estimating software to assess repair costs and communicate effectively with customers regarding services provided. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols during heavy lifting, assembly, and detailing tasks. Skills Proven dealership experience or automotive repair background with a strong understanding of auto glass installation. Knowledge of ADAS calibration procedures and experience working with advanced vehicle safety systems. Skilled in window tinting techniques with attention to detail for a flawless finish. Mechanical knowledge of vehicles, including auto body repair, assembly, and general maintenance. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and auto estimating software for accurate repairs and assessments. Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks involved in glass installation and vehicle servicing. Strong communication skills to explain procedures clearly to customers and team members while maintaining professionalism. $22.00 - $29.04 per hour
