At Bankston Motor Homes, we believe every RV represents someone's next vacation, family memory, or cross-country adventure. A successful PDI Technician consistently delivers RVs that are safe, fully functional, and presentation-ready. You take ownership of your work, pay attention to the smallest details, and understand that your inspection is the final step before a customer begins their journey. Competitive wages based on experience. Expected annual earnings of $30,000-$45,000, with additional income opportunities through performance-based incentives. Primarily a five-day work week.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive inspections on recreational vehicles before customer delivery. Verify that all electrical, plumbing, propane, HVAC, slide-out, leveling, and appliance systems operate properly. Test all interior and exterior components for proper function and appearance. Identify defects, missing parts, cosmetic concerns, or warranty issues and document findings accurately. Complete repairs within your skill level or coordinate necessary work with the appropriate service technicians. Install dealership accessories and customer-requested options as assigned. Ensure each RV is clean, organized, fully equipped, and ready for delivery. Complete inspection reports and work orders accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area. Follow manufacturer guidelines, dealership procedures, and safety standards. Communicate effectively with Service Advisors, Parts Department personnel, and management to ensure timely completion of each unit.
Qualifications:
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose basic operational issues. Experience working with RVs, automotive, marine, construction, or similar equipment is preferred but not required. Ability to read and follow service manuals, inspection checklists, and repair instructions. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment. Basic computer skills for completing work orders and documentation. A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Physical Requirements:
Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb throughout the workday. Lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with heavier lifting performed using proper equipment or assistance. Work inside and outside in varying weather conditions. Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and diagnostic equipment safely. Enter and exit RVs of various sizes, including climbing steps and accessing roof areas when necessary.
