Monday-Friday 7am-5pm
Pay Rate:
$25-$28 hourly Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and motivated Mechanic C to join our busy service and maintenance department. You will support our senior mechanics by executing entry-level and routine maintenance, assisting with basic diagnostics, and ensuring all fleet or facility equipment remains safe, functional, and in optimal working condition.
Key Responsibilities Preventative Maintenance:
Perform routine servicing including oil and filter changes, fluid top-offs, greasing, and tire rotations.
Basic Repairs:
Replace and adjust minor parts such as brake pads, batteries, bulbs, fuses, and belts.
Diagnostics & Troubleshooting:
Assist higher-level mechanics (Mechanic A & B) with complex repairs and conduct basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
Inspections:
Conduct thorough safety and pre-trip inspections, documenting and reporting vehicle defects or maintenance needs.
Shop Maintenance:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
Documentation:
Accurately complete work orders, service logs, and maintenance checklists using shop software or paper forms.
Tool Operation:
Safely utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic scanners common to the trade.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent; vocational/technical school certification is highly preferred.
Experience:
1-3 years of hands-on experience as a mechanic, apprentice, or in a related automotive/industrial technical field.
Physical Strength:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and perform physically demanding tasks (bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods)..
Skills:
Basic knowledge of internal combustion engines, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and fundamental electrical principles. #INDLI
