We are a staffing agency hiring on behalf of our client for a skilled and dependable Automotive Technician in Benton, AR. The Automotive Technician will play a critical role in ensuring vehicles are properly diagnosed, repaired, and maintained to meet safety and performance standards. This position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical knowledge, excellent diagnostic abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
The Automotive Technician will be responsible for working on a wide variety of vehicle systems, including brakes, suspension, steering, tires, and alignment. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to troubleshoot complex issues, and a willingness to stay current with evolving automotive technologies. The Automotive Technician will also be expected to maintain accurate documentation and follow all safety procedures while working in a fast-paced shop environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on mechanical, suspension, steering, brake, and tire-related issues using computerized equipment
Conduct test drives to identify performance concerns and verify repairs
Complete computerized wheel alignments, adjusting caster, camber, and toe to manufacturer specifications
Diagnose, repair, and replace brake system components including pads, rotors, calipers, and hydraulic systems
Mount, dismount, balance, rotate, and repair tires as needed
Service and reset TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) sensors
Inspect and repair suspension and steering systems to improve ride quality and vehicle stability
Conduct multi-point inspections and provide detailed recommendations for additional service
Accurately document all work performed, including diagnostics, repairs, and parts used
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with computerized diagnostic tools and alignment equipment
Solid understanding of brake, suspension, steering, and tire systems
ASE certifications are preferred but not required
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
