Must have at least 2 years of experience, mechanical aptitude and superior customer service skills are strongly required. Our service advisors are some of the best paid in our area, and "In order to be the best you have to have the best." We are searching for someone that is looking for a place to call home, and is wanting to grow not only their knowledge but also to grow in their career. We are a new dealership that just opened here in West Memphis. We are family owned and operated. Responsibilities:
Greet customers in a very timely manner with an energetic greeting. Listen to the customer's concerns and requests and document accordingly & accurately Generate a repair order with accurate and detailed descriptions of the customers concerns and requests Monitor all vehicles in the process and update customers as required throughout their visit Answer incoming service phone calls to answer questions and set service appointments Call customers to gain approval for the repairs and services that their vehicle needs Perform all of the above with excellent customer service skills.
Requirements:
Strong teamwork skills Willing to submit to a drug screen and background check Must have clean driving record must have valid driver's license
Key Responsibilities Customer Service:
Greet customers, listen to their concerns, and provide guidance on service options
Appointment Scheduling:
Schedule service appointments and manage the service bay to optimize workflow.
Vehicle Inspection:
Conduct initial vehicle inspections to identify problems and create service orders.
Service Recommendations:
Communicate recommended repairs and maintenance based on CDJR's guidelines and customer needs.
Cost Estimation:
Provide accurate cost estimates for labor and parts, ensuring transparency in pricing.
Parts Ordering:
Coordinate with the parts department to order necessary components for repairs.
Service Updates:
Keep customers informed about the status of their vehicles and any changes to the service timeline.
Quality Assurance:
Verify completed work meets CDJR.s standards and address any customer concerns promptly.
Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of service orders, invoices, and customer interactions.
Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience as a service advisor, (minimum 2 years) preferably in an automotive dealership. Strong knowledge of vehicles, their maintenance requirements, and common issues. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused approach. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in using computer systems and software for scheduling and documentation.
Education and Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent is typically required. Additional training or certification in automotive service skills or customer relations is a plus.
Working Conditions:
CDJR service advisors typically work in dealership service departments. The job may involve standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of moderate weights.
