Autonomous Vehicle Test Technician Pittsburgh, PA Full Time Mid Level SHARE Rivers Agile is a deep tech consulting firm specializing in custom solutions across various industries. Location:
This is primarily an onsite position in the northern Pittsburgh metro area. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. What you'll do Operate and observe autonomous vehicles in realistic warehouse scenarios Follow structured procedures to check vehicle behavior and system performance Watch for anomalies, weird behavior, or safety concerns — and help dig into why Simulate edge cases and uncommon events to see how the system responds Capture observations clearly and share them with engineers Use tools like logs, dashboards, and basic command-line tools to support your work Occasionally recreate issues or walk through updates to see what's changed. What you should bring Hands-on experience with autonomous vehicles, industrial robots, CNC machines, PLC or SCADA systems, or other automation equipment for manufacturing or warehousing applications Ability to follow test procedures, execute tests, evaluate results, and document findings Experience using command line utilities to install and configure software, review log files, and diagnose issues Experience troubleshooting integrated hardware and software systems, identifying the potential cause of failures, and documenting findings General knowledge of how software and technology products are developed and tested Practical knowledge of safety standards around industrial robots and other industrial automation equipment is a plus Fanatical attention to detail and ability to catch what others miss Curiosity and the drive to ask "why" when something doesn't behave as expected Ability to change and ambiguity in a resourceful, positive, and professional manner Apply for this position
