In this role, you will leverage your expertise in GM vehicles and advanced automotive systems to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicle issues. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on GM vehicles using advanced automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues. Conduct repairs on powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and diesel engines, ensuring optimal vehicle performance. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to execute repairs efficiently and accurately. Complete vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake service, alignment adjustments, and wheel balancing to uphold safety standards. Diagnose and repair ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features like lane departure warnings, adaptive cruise control, and collision avoidance systems. Read and interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot complex electrical problems within GM vehicles. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Requirements Proven dealership experience as an automotive technician with GM certification or equivalent credentials. Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including powertrain, electrical systems, suspension, brakes, and body repair. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics software and tools specific to GM vehicles. Ability to work with schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals efficiently. Skilled in diesel engine repair, alignment procedures, welding techniques, and general vehicle maintenance. Familiarity with ADAS technology and automotive electrical systems is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to vehicle repair challenges.
