We are actively seeking community-focused individuals to partner with us and apply and become an Operations Analyst for Phoenix, Arizona, the 5th largest city in the United States. The Operations Analyst oversees logistical and regulatory functions for the Public Services and Records Bureau (PRSB) Vehicle Impound Units, including fund tracking, vendor coordination, and compliance with legal timelines. This role provides professional administrative and technical support and manages complex projects across various PRSB programs. Responsibilities include developing and implementing procedures; designing, conducting, and evaluating major work standards; and performing systems analysis across a wide range of functional areas. Assignments are typically broad in scope, requiring interaction with multiple organizational units. The Operations Analyst conducts research using contemporary methods, analyzes operational information, and organizes and verifies data related to equipment usage, service trends, and operational efficiency. The role also produces narrative and technical reports and provides training on new and existing computer systems. While general project goals and objectives are provided, the position is given wide latitude to design, plan, and carry out analyses. This role requires independent judgment and frequent coordination with management. Additionally, the Operations Analyst assists with technology integration by evaluating and implementing new software solutions, writing test scripts, and conducting user acceptance testing. The role also analyzes customer related data to identify opportunities for process improvements, reduce complaints, and improve customer satisfaction.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
Ability to conduct studies and research with independent thought and minimal supervision. Ability to comprehend and make inferences from written materials in the English language. Knowledge of, or experience in a local, state or federal government entity. Knowledge of, or experience in work measurement, workforce management, or project analytics. Willingness to work more than forty hours in a workweek without additional compensation to perform job duties, including weekends, evenings, early morning hours, and holidays as required. Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks independently.
SALARY Pay Range:
$60,028.80 to $107,806.40 annually.
Hiring Range:
$60,028.80 to $84,468.80 annually
Pay Range Explanation:
Pay range is the entire compensation range for the position classification. Hiring range is an estimate of where you can receive an offer. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, training, and internal equity.
Internal Only:
Please understand that this is pay grade 059. If selected, your salary offer will be based on the applicable promotion or demotion worksheet in accordance with the City Pay Ordinance. Promotions occur when the last two digits of the pay grade increase. Demotions occur when the last two digits of the pay grade decrease. Lateral transfers occur when there is no change to the last two digits of the pay grade. When there is a change in the first digit of the pay grade, there may also be a change to your classification or unit. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
One year of experience in functional operations, operations research, industrial engineering, or public administration. Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, public administration, business administration or a related field. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted. All finalists for positions are subject to a criminal background check applicable to the department or position. Positions in the Police Department must meet the background standards that are appropriate to non-sworn positions. The general factors for disqualification are listed here . Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The minimum qualifications listed above, plus experience: With professional-level project management. In asset or financial management. Auditing business operations and providing solutions for quality assurance. In testing management and testing methodology. With data mining and analysis. With process map and flow chart creation. With call center systems and call center system management.
One year experience in/with:
Customer call-center environments. Research methodology, documentation, and analysis. Business or technical writing in data analytics or usability or user experience. SQL, Python, Java, HTML5, CSS, or
