Job Description
ZebraScapes is seeking an experienced Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, and landscaping equipment. This is a hands-on position requiring strong diagnostic skills, attention to detail, and the ability to keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair diesel and gasoline engines Perform preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment Repair hydraulic, electrical, steering, suspension, and brake systems Service trucks, trailers, skid steers, loaders, excavators, and other construction/landscape equipment Troubleshoot engine, transmission, and electrical issues Complete inspections and identify needed repairs before equipment failures occur Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records Ensure all work complies with company safety standards Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe Qualifications Required diesel mechanic experience Experience working on heavy-duty trucks and construction/landscape equipment Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Ability to operate equipment such as loaders, skid steers, excavators, and similar machinery Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in various weather conditions Must be dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently Preferred Qualifications CDL (Commercial Driver's License) is a plus Welding and fabrication experience is a plus Experience with DOT inspections and fleet maintenance programs is preferred Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Paid Time Off (PTO) One (1) week of paid vacation after one year of employment Seven (7) paid holidays each year If you are an experienced diesel mechanic looking to join a growing company with a strong team environment, we encourage you to apply.
