Automotive Service Advisor

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our fast-paced repair shop team. Duties Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs Prepare detailed auto estimates using mitchell1 management software, ensuring accuracy and transparency Communicate repair recommendations clearly, explaining necessary services such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, alignments, suspension work, tire services, shocks & struts, air brake systems. Coordinate with technicians to schedule repairs and ensure timely completion of services Upsell additional maintenance or repair services that enhance vehicle performance and safety while respecting customer budgets Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain proper documentation of all service orders and payments Maintain thorough knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures to assist customers effectively Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and foster long-term relationships Stay informed about the latest automotive technologies and industry best practices to provide expert guidance Qualifications Proven dealership experience or background in auto service management is highly preferred Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics and repairs such as transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, alignment, suspension work, tire service, engine repair, shocks & struts, air brake systems. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally Experience in auto estimating software and service writing processes Ability to upsell services tactfully while maintaining integrity and customer trust Familiarity with automotive sales processes is a plus Cash handling experience ensures accurate transaction processing Mechanical or technician experience enhances understanding of vehicle repairs and maintenance needs Join our team where your automotive expertise meets your passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences!
