This position is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, and assembling rotating equipment including pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, blowers, and motors. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience working with industrial equipment, and a commitment to safety, quality, and customer service. This role offers the opportunity to work in both shop and field environments while supporting critical equipment for customers across the refining, industrial, power generation, and manufacturing industries. Key Responsibilities Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, blowers, and other rotating equipment. Disassemble equipment, inspect components, and determine repair requirements. Perform precision measurements, alignments, runout checks, and mechanical inspections. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. Reassemble equipment according to OEM and customer specifications. Assist with equipment installation, startup, and commissioning activities. Operate hand tools, precision measuring instruments, forklifts, hoists, and shop equipment as required. Maintain accurate repair records, inspection reports, and documentation. Follow all company safety policies, customer safety requirements, and HSE procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and team members. Assist with training and mentoring less experienced mechanics as needed. Requirements Authorization to work in the United States. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. High School Diploma or GED preferred. Minimum 3 years of mechanical repair, rotating equipment, or industrial maintenance experience preferred. Experience working on pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, gearboxes, or similar equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Proficient with precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and bore gauges. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. TWIC card or ability to obtain one preferred. OSHA training and industrial safety experience preferred. Work Environment Climate-controlled shop environment and customer field locations. Moderate noise levels around industrial machinery. Required use of PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, hard hat, and steel-toe boots. Overtime may be required based on workload and customer demand. Travel to customer sites may be required. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and maneuver around industrial equipment for extended periods. Adequate vision, depth perception, and hand-eye coordination. Ability to safely work in shop and industrial plant environments.
