Automotive Service Advisor / Writer

Duties Greet customers warmly and professionally, establishing trust and confidence from the moment they walk in. Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues to facilitate efficient repairs. Provide detailed auto estimates for services such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, suspension work, tire service, diesel engine repairs, alignments, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs. Recommend additional services through upselling techniques to enhance vehicle performance and safety while meeting customer needs. Coordinate with service technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of work orders. Maintain thorough records of all service transactions, including cash handling and invoicing procedures. Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and promote ongoing automotive maintenance and sales opportunities. Requirements Proven dealership experience or background in auto service management is highly preferred. Familiarity with auto estimating software and automotive repair processes across various systems such as transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, suspension, tire service, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, alignments, and auto body repair. Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively. Experience in upselling services and automobile sales to maximize revenue opportunities. Knowledge of service writing procedures along with automotive service standards. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
