Smog Technician / Automotive Reconditioning Technician STAR Certified Preferred Join our growing used car dealership team! We're looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined technician to assist with vehicle inspections, smog testing, diagnostics, and inventory reconditioning. Responsibilities Perform smog inspections and emissions testing Diagnose basic mechanical issues Complete vehicle safety and quality inspections Assist with inventory reconditioning and make-ready work Light mechanical repairs and maintenance Ensure vehicles are retail-ready for sale Qualifications STAR Certification preferred Smog license/certification strongly preferred Mechanical experience required Ability to inspect and identify vehicle issues accurately Reliable, motivated, and detail-oriented Valid driver's license required What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Steady workflow and team environment Opportunity for growth within the dealership Depending on quality of work, performance and organization with deadlines there is a HUGE possibiltiy for this person to grow with Carco Sales & Finance to grow and run our service department!
