About The Role:
As a Mobile Automotive Service Technician, you'll be the face of PitStop, delivering high-quality mechanical services directly to customers at their homes and workplaces. You'll combine strong technical ability with clear communication to diagnose issues accurately, complete repairs safely, and create a smooth, stress-free experience for every customer. What You Will Do Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive systems, including brakes, suspension, steering, power, and fuel systems. Perform mobile diagnostics and pre-purchase vehicle inspections with detailed reporting. Complete scheduled maintenance and tune-ups according to manufacturer recommendations. Replace and repair components such as starters, alternators, belts, pulleys, spark plugs, water pumps, fuel pumps, shocks, struts, and suspension and steering components. Provide customers with clear explanations of findings, repair options, timelines, and costs. Perform oil changes and other preventive maintenance services. Ensure all services are completed safely and in compliance with ASE standards and company procedures. Maintain accurate work orders and inspection reports using our mobile systems. Keep service vehicles, tools, and equipment clean and in excellent working condition. Safely operate company and customer vehicles during diagnostics and road testing. Represent PitStop with professionalism and care in every customer interaction. Other duties as assigned. What You'll Get Competitive pay starting at $40-$50/hour, depending on experience. What You'll Need:
5+ years of professional automotive repair experience across multiple systems. ASE certifications strongly preferred (Brake, Electrical, Suspension/Steering, or equivalent). Proven diagnostic experience, including electrical and drivability concerns. Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record. High school diploma or GED required. Must be 18 years of age or older. Strong customer-facing experience with clear communication skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varied outdoor conditions. Skilled in use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability. Professional communication (written and verbal) with customers and teammates. Customer-first mindset with a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a mobile environment. Additional Information This position involves driving duties that may be monitored through GPS and related technology to ensure safety and compliance.
