This role involves acting as the primary point of contact between customers and our service department, ensuring efficient communication, accurate documentation, and exceptional service. The ideal candidate will possess a strong automotive background, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Greet customers promptly and professionally, listening carefully to their vehicle concerns and service needs Write detailed repair orders, accurately documenting customer complaints and vehicle symptoms Communicate repair estimates and service recommendations clearly to customers Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services Upsell additional services or maintenance based on vehicle diagnostics and customer needs Manage vehicle drop-off and pick-up processes, including cash handling when applicable Maintain thorough knowledge of automotive repairs such as transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, suspension, tire service, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, air brake systems, alignment, auto body repair, and other mechanical services Utilize auto estimating software to prepare accurate repair quotes Follow up with customers on vehicle status and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction Keep detailed records of all transactions and communications for each customer visit Skills Proven dealership experience or auto service management background is highly desirable Strong automotive diagnostics knowledge with mechanical expertise in vehicle maintenance and repairs Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell services tactfully Experience in auto estimating, service writing, and automotive repair procedures Familiarity with auto body repair, transmissions, oil changes, brake systems, suspension work, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and alignments Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently Effective communication skills to explain technical issues to customers clearly Sales-oriented mindset with a focus on building long-term customer relationships Mechanical knowledge combined with service technician experience is a plus This position offers an engaging environment for automotive professionals passionate about delivering outstanding service while leveraging their technical expertise. Weekends required. schedule Friday-Tuesday with Wednesday and Thursday off.
