Job Title Service Advisor / Installation Specialist Company WeldTec Designs Role Summary This role sits at the intersection of customer trust, operational execution, and revenue protection . The Service Advisor / Installation Specialist owns the customer experience from first technical conversation through final install and delivery. You will diagnose needs, recommend solutions, schedule work, and physically install WeldTec products to spec. If you're allergic to accountability or think installs are "someone else's problem," this is not your seat. Core ResponsibilitiesCustomer & Revenue Ownership Act as the primary technical advisor for customers purchasing WeldTec Designs suspension products Translate customer problems into clear, accurate solutions—no overpromising, no guessing Build quotes, explain scope of work, timelines, and pricing with confidence Protect margin by ensuring accurate labor estimates and correct product selection Communicate delays, changes, or issues early—no surprisesInstallation & Technical Execution Perform hands-on installation of WeldTec suspension systems and related components Ensure all installs meet WeldTec quality, safety, and torque specifications Diagnose fitment issues and collaborate with leadership on solutions Conduct post-install inspections and test drives when required Maintain clean, organized work areas and professional job sites Scheduling & Operations Coordinate install schedules based on parts availability and labor capacity Work closely with inventory and leadership to prevent downtime Accurately log labor hours, notes, and install details Assist in improving install efficiency and repeatable processes Brand & Customer Experience Represent WeldTec Designs with professionalism, clarity, and confidence Educate customers on product use, break-in, and maintenance Support content capture when needed (photos/videos of installs, before/after) Reinforce WeldTec's reputation for engineering-driven solutions—not shortcuts Required Skills & Experience Strong mechanical aptitude (suspension, automotive, or heavy-duty experience preferred) Experienced in front end suspension components, Leaf springs, shocks, and how they effect handleing of a vehicle Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers Experience working in a fast-paced shop environment Comfortable switching between customer interaction and hands-on work High attention to detail—mistakes cost time, money, and reputationPreferred (Not Required, But Valuable) Suspension, RV, truck, or off-road installation experience Service advisor or technical sales background Familiarity with torque specs, alignment basics, and vehicle safety standards Experience working with CRM, scheduling software, or job tracking systems Performance Metrics (How You'll Be Measured) Install quality (zero rework mindset) Install efficiency (hours vs. standard) Customer satisfaction and repeat business Accuracy of quotes and scheduling Contribution to shop throughput and revenue Compensation Competitive hourly or salary (based on experience) Performance incentives tied to installs, efficiency, and quality Growth path into Lead Installer, Senior Advisor, or Operations roles The Reality Check This role is for someone who likes responsibility , not someone who hides behind a counter. Pay:
$30.00 - $45.00 per hour
