Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable, self-motivated Fleet Fueling Technician to prepare our fleet for the next day's operations. This part-time evening position is responsible for fueling company vehicles, performing basic vehicle inspections, and ensuring each vehicle is clean, properly maintained, and ready for crews each morning. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and takes pride in caring for company vehicles while handling this trusted responsibility with professionalism and accountability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Fuel company vans and trucks as needed. Drive company vehicles between company facilities, job sites, and fuel stations. Perform a basic inspection of each vehicle while fueling, including: Tire condition and inflation Windshield and window damage Exterior lighting Fluid levels (washer fluid, engine oil, coolant, as directed) Report vehicle damage, maintenance concerns, or safety issues promptly. Maintain accurate fuel receipts, mileage, and fueling records. Help keep company vehicles clean, organized, and ready for daily operations. Ensure vehicles are securely parked, locked, and prepared for dispatch the following morning. Assist with light fleet support tasks as assigned. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Valid California Drivers License and a clean DMV record. Previous experience driving company or fleet vehicles. Basic mechanical knowledge. Experience performing vehicle inspections with strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Dependable, trustworthy, and punctual. Comfortable driving cargo vans and pickup trucks.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to walk, sit, reach, push, pull, drive, bend, and Frequently enter and exit vehicles. The employee will frequently work both indoors and outdoors, and in varying inclement weather. Frequent use of hands, wrists, and fingers is required to operate computers, and other electronic devices for data entry and documentation. The position also requires lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
