We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor/Writer to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will serve as the vital link between our valued customers and our skilled technicians, ensuring a seamless and positive service experience. Your enthusiasm for automobiles, combined with exceptional communication skills, will drive customer satisfaction and foster loyalty. You will accurately assess vehicle issues, prepare detailed estimates, and recommend appropriate services to meet each customer's needs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your mechanical knowledge and sales ability can truly shine. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly, listen actively to their vehicle concerns, and provide expert guidance on necessary repairs and maintenance. Write detailed service orders, including scope of work, parts needed, and estimated costs using auto estimating tools. Communicate effectively with technicians regarding vehicle diagnostics, repair procedures, and completion times. Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, transmission repairs, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs when appropriate. Manage cash handling transactions accurately while maintaining transparency with customers about costs and services rendered. Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly. Maintain thorough records of all service activities, customer interactions, and repair histories to support ongoing customer relationships. Qualifications Proven dealership experience or automotive service management background is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics, repairs, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Familiarity with auto estimating software and automotive repair processes including oil changes, brake repair, alignments, suspension work, tire service, transmissions, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repair. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally. Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust. Experience in auto sales or automobile sales is a plus. Mechanical experience or service technician background enhances your ability to understand technician reports and communicate effectively with both customers and team members.
