In this energetic role, you will perform a wide range of maintenance and repair services on various vehicle makes and models, ensuring customer satisfaction through quality workmanship. Your mechanical skills and automotive knowledge will be vital in diagnosing issues, executing repairs efficiently, and maintaining high standards of vehicle safety and performance. Duties Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify mechanical, electrical, and systems issues using automotive diagnostics tools. Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, and suspension checks to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Repair and replace critical components including brakes, shocks & struts, powertrain parts, and diesel engines with precision and care. Utilize schematics and automotive electrical system knowledge to troubleshoot complex problems accurately. Service ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features and perform wheel alignments for enhanced vehicle safety. Execute auto body repairs, welding, and other mechanical repairs to restore vehicles to factory standards. Maintain detailed service records, prepare estimates using auto estimating software, and communicate effectively with customers about repair needs. Experience Proven dealership or automotive repair shop experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and mechanical repair. Hands-on experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is highly desirable. Familiarity with automotive electrical systems, schematics, air brake systems, and power tools is essential. Experience repairing diesel engines, transmissions, suspension systems, and performing wheel alignments is preferred. Knowledge of auto body repair techniques and welding skills will be considered a plus. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently using hand tools and power tools in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to provide clear explanations of repairs and estimates.
