Automotive Mechanic Rubidoux Tire and Brake Jurupa Valley, CA Job Details Full-time $20 - $24 an hour 10 hours ago Qualifications Auto estimating Driver's License Alignment Tire service Dealership experience Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automotive repair and maintenance, with a strong focus on diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicle issues. This role offers the opportunity to work with various vehicle makes and models, including GM vehicles, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and mechanical expertise to ensure customer satisfaction and vehicle safety. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, powertrains, suspensions, alignments, brakes, shocks & struts, and other critical vehicle components. Execute routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and suspension repairs. Repair or replace air brake systems, ADAS components, and other specialized systems as needed. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for various repair tasks. Conduct auto body repairs and welding when necessary to restore vehicle integrity. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems. Maintain detailed records of repairs performed for each vehicle in accordance with dealership standards. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction. Qualifications Proven dealership experience or extensive automotive repair background preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and diesel engine repair. Familiarity with ADAS systems, auto estimating software, GM vehicles, and auto body repair is advantageous. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and maintenance procedures. Ability to read schematics accurately and work with complex mechanical and electrical systems. Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with customer service skills. Certification or technical training in automotive repair is preferred but not mandatory. Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
