Job Description

Who We Are Utility Trailer of California, LLC is a fast-growing company with a wide variety of customer tools and resources to support the logistics and food distribution industry. We are a dealership group and distribution business for an innovative manufacturer of refrigerated, dry freight, and flatbed trailers. We remain at the core value of the world's largest producer of refrigerated trailers and one of the largest overall trailer manufacturers in the United States. Duties and Responsibilities This position requires that all phases of diagnostics, repairs and modifications be performed while maintaining proper safety and established industry and trade protocols. Scope of work to be performed includes diagnosis, rebuild, and repair of electrical, mechanical, and structural components on heavy duty trailers. Perform all types of welding (i.e. - aluminum, mild steel and stainless steel). Learn essentials. Perform all styles of each phase of welding (i.e. - Tig, Mig and Arc). Perform repairs and modifications on all styles of trailers as assigned. Maintain allocated time frame on all repairs and modifications. Contribute to the work assignment from acquired experience and knowledge. Diagnose and make recommendations on repairs as required. Attend training seminars and classes as required. Operate a forklift, scissor lift, and other power equipment with proper certification and training. Diagnose and repair trailer air brake systems. Diagnose and repair trailer electrical systems. Maintain knowledge of safety requirements and compliance strategies. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications High school diploma or GED certificate. Previous heavy duty trailer repair experience (preferred) Completion of a certificate program or technical training in mechanics and truck repair (a plus) Knowledge of air brakes, hydraulics, electrical, and ABS brake systems preferred. Experience with various hand tools. Valid driver's license. Physical strength and stamina. Welding or fabrication experience (preferred)

$25-$35 per hour (DOE)
