In this energetic role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Your mechanical skills and attention to detail will be essential in delivering top-tier automotive service, whether working on gas-powered engines, diesel engines, transmissions, or electrical systems. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on engines, including diesel engine repair and powertrain components, ensuring optimal performance. Service vehicle systems such as brakes, suspension, shocks & struts, alignment, tires, and wheel assemblies to maintain safety standards. Execute routine maintenance tasks like oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements to keep vehicles in peak condition. Repair or replace transmissions, axles, and other drivetrain components with precision and efficiency. Utilize hand tools and power tools to disassemble and reassemble vehicle parts according to manufacturer specifications. Collaborate with team members on auto body repairs when necessary and ensure all work meets quality standards. Maintain detailed service records and complete auto estimating documentation for transparency and customer communication. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with dealership or automotive repair shop backgrounds preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, and automotive electrical systems. Familiarity with schematics reading for troubleshooting complex issues effectively. Experience repairing GM vehicles or similar makes is advantageous but not required. Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and automotive diagnostics software. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools. Knowledge of automotive safety standards and procedures for brake repair, wheel alignment, suspension work, and tire service.
