Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automotive repair, diagnostics, and maintenance, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves performing a wide range of repairs and maintenance tasks on various vehicle makes and models, ensuring safety, reliability, and optimal vehicle performance. Candidates with dealership experience and expertise in modern automotive systems are highly preferred. The position offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment utilizing advanced tools and diagnostic equipment to maintain high standards of automotive service. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair a variety of automotive issues including engine, transmission, electrical systems, suspension, brakes, and more. Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, shocks & struts replacement, and vehicle inspections. Utilize schematics and diagnostic tools to accurately identify mechanical and electrical problems. Repair or replace components such as air brakes, powertrain parts, axles, and auto body panels as needed. Conduct ADAS calibrations and work on diesel engines when required. Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to complete repairs within specified timeframes. Maintain detailed records of repairs performed for each vehicle. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Provide excellent customer service by clearly explaining repairs and recommending necessary maintenance.
Experience / Preferred
Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair. Dealership experience is highly desirable, especially familiarity with GM vehicles. Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics, and auto estimating software is preferred. Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair, auto body repair, welding, and auto electrical systems is advantageous. Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures including oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, suspension work, brake repair, shocks & struts replacement, and transmission servicing. Ability to work efficiently using hand tools and power tools in a fast-paced environment. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex issues effectively. Experience working on diesel-powered tow trucks is a strong advantage. Fluency in both English and Spanish is considered a significant plus and will be highly valued.
