Truck Mechanic Overview We're seeking a skilled Mechanic to join a team that services and maintains fire apparatus and emergency‑response equipment. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision, safety, and high‑stakes mechanical work. You'll be part of a crew that keeps critical equipment mission‑ready for first responders. What You'll Do Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on fire trucks, pumps, generators, and related emergency‑response equipment Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards Document all repairs, parts used, and maintenance activities Collaborate with technicians, service managers, and field personnel to resolve equipment issues Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment What We're Looking For 3+ years of experience as a mechanic (diesel, heavy equipment, fleet, or emergency vehicles preferred) Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems Ability to read schematics, service manuals, and diagnostic reports Experience with fire‑service equipment is a plus but not required Valid driver's license Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Why This Role Matters You're not just turning wrenches—you're helping ensure that life‑saving equipment performs flawlessly when it matters most.
