Job Description:
Technician, Automotive Build Technician, Automotive Build Carlsbad, California | Engineering | Full-time About the role We're looking for a detail-oriented and driven Automotive Build Technician to join our team. In this hands-on role, you'll be integral to the prototyping, assembly, and development of cutting-edge automotive systems and vehicles. You'll work closely with engineers and fellow technicians to bring high-performance concepts and pre-production builds to life. What you'll do Assemble prototype and low-volume production vehicles according to engineering specifications Install and test mechanical, electrical, and structural components Troubleshoot issues across chassis, powertrain, electrical, and body systems Collaborate with engineering teams to support design iterations and modifications Operate diagnostic and calibration tools to validate system performance Maintain clear documentation and contribute to build process improvements Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout all stages of build Qualifications Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment Familiarity with vehicle subsystems including suspension, brakes, drivetrain, and electrical systems Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and CAD prints Strong problem-solving and communication skills Valid driver's license and clean driving record [
