Job Description

Job Summary We are looking for a skilled, independent Fleet Mechanic to take full ownership of our company vehicles and equipment. In this role, you will keep our fleet moving safely and efficiently. This a stable internal position with consistent, guarenteed hours - no dealing with retail customers.
Duties Fleet & Equipment Management:
Oversee regular maintenance and repairs for our entire fleet of trucks and equipment.
Diagnostics & Repairs :
Troubleshoot and fix mechanical, electrical, and hydraulics issues on both gasoline and diesel engines
Preventive Maintenance:
Schedule and perform routine oil changes, brake jobs,fluid flushes,safety inspections, and track-wear checks. Maintain detailed service records : Document all repairs, parts used, and service schedulkes to maintain a clean compliance history. Assist with equipment assembly or disassembly for maintenance or upgrades; support ongoing preventive maintenance programs, ensuring timely completion of work. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience working with both regular (gasoline) and diesel engines.
Independence:
A self- starter who can prioritize tasks and manage a shop schedule without daily supervision. Knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, HVAC systems, suspension components, and electrical systems. Ability to use power tools and hand tools safely and effectively; capable of performing heavy lifting when necessary. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by excellent problem-solving skills; with clear communication abilities. License:
A valid driver's license with a clean driving history; commercial is a plus.
