- you will be called upon to service a broad range of vehicle repair issues and for quickly identifying the cause of performance problems. Job Requires a minimum of 2 years experience working as an
- Automotive Technician
- in an automotive repair shop or dealership.
- Automotive Technician Job Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc.
- Explain discovered mechanical diagnoses and required repairs to service advisors and if necessary to customers.
- Continuously seek out and learn new technical information, equipment, tools and techniques
- Professionally record findings on approved documents so that necessary customer estimates and proper repairs can be made.
- Automotive Technician Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in the industry as an automotive technician
- Hold a valid driver's license
- Appropriate hand tools necessary for services performed
- Automotive Service Excellence ( _ASE_ ) and A/C Refrigerant handling certifications are a plus, but not required unless performing A/C or other license required services Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment such as Scanners, electrical diagnostic equipment, AC recovery equipment, Fluid Exchange Equipment, Lift operation, etc.
