Job Description

Master Automotive Technician (A-Level)
ADVANCED AUTOMOTIVE - 3.8
Redding, CA Job Details Full-time $40 - $55 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid training Paid holidays Professional development assistance Retirement plan Paid sick time Qualifications Driver's License Driving ASE Master Automotive Technician Certification Hand tools Full Job Description Advanced Automotive has been the Northstate's go-to shop for 32 years . We're a 10-bay, 8,400 sq ft facility specializing in Asian and American vehicles plus fleet work, with a loyal customer base built one honest repair at a time. We're looking for an A-level technician who's done proving himself and just wants a straight-shooting shop to do their best work in. Straight talk, since you've earned it You've probably worked somewhere that pushed you to sell what the customer didn't need, padded the hours, and called it "service." That's not us, and it never has been. We recommend what the car actually needs — nothing more. Turns out customers notice, they come back, and they send their friends. That's why we stay busy and why our techs earn well. Honesty and a good paycheck aren't opposites here. They're the whole point. Yes, car count matters — we keep you busy, and you'll have plenty of work. But a job done right, a customer treated straight, and a technician taken care of matter to us just as much, if not more. Why techs stay here 3-day weekend, every week. 4×10 schedule — Monday through Thursday, 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Closed Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Your Fridays are yours. We pay you to get better. Paid training, paid ASE certification testing — and we pay your wages while you train, including national and local training. It's not common for shops today to do that. We respect your time, so we do. The tools to actually diagnose. Shop-paid access to the trade resources you need, plus up-to-date tooling. The industry never stops evolving, and neither do we — if there's a tool we don't have, we'll spare no expense getting the right one for the job. We don't make you fight the job with one hand tied. A real crew. Foreman support, a parts/QA person who has your back, and a service team that writes clean ROs and keeps the work flowing. What you'll be doing Diagnose, test, and repair mechanical, electrical, electronic, and drivability concerns — and fix it right the first time, in a timely and workmanlike manner. Perform safe, legal road tests before and after repairs. Document your work clearly so the customer sees exactly what you see. Communicate job status and additional needs to your advisor so cars keep moving. Treat every customer's vehicle like it's your own and keep your bay clean and safe. Contribute to a positive shop culture. This is the shop for you if You'd rather lose a sale than sell someone a repair they don't need. You take pride in zero comebacks, not padded tickets. You own your work — the wins and the do-overs. You're the tech others bring the hard ones to. This is not the shop for you if A good day is measured only by how much you rang up. You cut corners when no one's watching. "Honest" and "thorough" feel like obstacles instead of the standard. What we're looking for (A-Level) A well-rounded, top-tier tech with strong repair and diagnostic ability across Asian and domestic vehicles. ASE certifications (Master or A-series preferred; we'll support the rest). Your own hand tools, valid CA driver's license, and a clean driving record. Someone who communicates straight and takes pride in their craft. What we offer Competitive pay with production bonus (range posted above) 4-day work week — no weekends Paid training, paid ASE testing, and paid wages during training time
SIMPLE IRA
with 3% employer match (after 90 days) Prestige Urgent Care membership — 100% company-paid for you and your dependents (after 90 days) Paid holidays, paid sick leave, and vacation that grows with tenure A clean, organized, climate-controlled shop and a team that respects good work "I've worked to build this shop with humility — creating a place for learning, growth, and doing right by both our customers and our team." — Cody Morelock, Owner If that sounds like the kind of shop you've been looking for, apply today.
