Job Description Job Description Dave's Auto Repair is seeking an experienced and skilled Auto Mechanic with a specialization in Honda/Acura vehicles to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess at least 5 years of experience in the field, have their own set of professional tools, and demonstrate a strong understanding of diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining foreign cars, with a focus on Honda and Acura models.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on Asian vehicles, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques. Snap on Zeus scan tool experience a benefit. Perform routine maintenance and service on Honda and Acura vehicles, adhering to manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices. Inspect vehicles for potential problems and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance to shop owner. Communicate technical information to shop owner in a clear and concise manner, providing accurate details of diagnostic steps if requested. Test-drive vehicles to ensure proper functioning and performance after repairs or maintenance. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to safety standards and OSHA guidelines. Stay current on emerging automotive technologies, industry trends, and best practices, particularly related to Honda and Acura vehicles. Collaborate with other technicians and shop owner to ensure efficient and effective service delivery, sharing knowledge and expertise in Honda and Acura systems.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an automotive technical training program preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience as an auto mechanic, with a focus and interest in Honda and Acura vehicles. ASE certification in relevant areas, such as A1-A8, L1, and/or X1 is a plus but not required Extensive knowledge of Asian cars with emphasis on Honda and Acura vehicle systems, components, and repair procedures. Proficient in using diagnostic tools and software, particularly those specific to Asian vehicles. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and maintaining high-quality workmanship.
