Conduct routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as inspecting, cleaning, and replacing components within emission control systems. Assist customers by explaining test results, recommendations clearly and professionally. Maintain detailed records of inspections, and test results in compliance with state regulations. Handle heavy lifting when moving vehicle equipment safely and efficiently. Skills Strong knowledge of automotive systems, especially emissions control components. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and automotive service equipment. Experience with vehicle maintenance, auto repair is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working in various positions. Solid understanding of automotive processes with a focus on emissions testing standards. Mechanic experience that demonstrates troubleshooting skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to explain technical information clearly to customers.
