In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. Your expertise in automotive systems and excellent communication skills will help ensure that customers receive the highest level of service while effectively managing their expectations and needs. Duties Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their automotive service needs. Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify maintenance or repair requirements. Provide accurate estimates for services, including auto estimating for repairs such as shocks, struts, and electric vehicle repairs. Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, service requests, and completed work. Collaborate with mechanics to ensure timely completion of services while maintaining quality standards. Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently. Educate customers on vehicle maintenance options and recommend necessary services based on their vehicle's condition. Write service orders clearly and concisely to facilitate smooth communication between customers and the service department. Experience Proven experience in an automotive service environment is preferred. Familiarity with vehicle maintenance practices, including auto body repair and alignment. Strong background in service writing with an understanding of mechanical terminology. Experience with cash handling procedures is a plus. Knowledge of various automotive systems, including electric vehicle repair, is advantageous. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with customers and team members alike.
