Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles. This role requires attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Duties Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and fluid checks. Utilise schematics to understand vehicle systems and troubleshoot issues effectively. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during repairs and maintenance tasks. Conduct equipment repairs as necessary to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Assemble components and systems according to specifications and manufacturer guidelines. Maintain a clean and organised work area while adhering to safety protocols. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle's needs and repairs. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose complex issues. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to automotive repair. Experience in equipment repair and maintenance practices. Ability to read and interpret schematics for various automotive systems. Capability for heavy lifting as required during repairs or maintenance tasks. Basic welding skills are advantageous but not essential. Excellent customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction throughout the repair process.
