In this role, you will perform a wide range of diagnostic, mechanical, and electrical services across many makes and models, with a strong focus on drivability, suspension, tires, and general repair. You will help keep vehicles safe, comfortable, and road‑ready while contributing to a shop culture built on honesty, clear communication, and long‑term customer relationships. Duties Perform diagnostic services to identify drivability, performance, and electrical concerns using appropriate diagnostic tools and test procedures. Carry out engine-related repairs and services, including troubleshooting performance issues and following recommended repair procedures. Perform tire replacement, mounting, balancing, and related inspections to ensure safe and smooth operation. Conduct suspension inspections and repairs to address ride quality, stability, and handling concerns. Perform new car and pre‑purchase inspections, documenting findings clearly and advising on recommended maintenance or repairs. Diagnose and repair AC and heating system concerns to keep vehicles comfortable in all seasons. Inspect and service fuel system and exhaust system components to address issues such as poor fuel economy, performance loss, or excessive noise. Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and brake and safety inspections as needed. Use service information, repair manuals, and estimating systems to identify correct repair procedures and parts requirements. Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all shop safety practices and company standards while providing friendly, professional customer service. Experience Proven service technician experience working with various vehicle makes and models. +2 years or more Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including powertrain, electrical wiring, transmissions, and diesel engines. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software and schematics for troubleshooting complex issues. Hands-on experience with automotive electrical systems. Ability to work efficiently with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical devices. Knowledge of auto estimating procedures and familiarity with Ford , Chevy Trucks or similar brands is a plus.
